GREAT BARRIER REEF

Only 45min by boat, The Great Barrier Reef is at it's closest to mainland Australia off the Daintree Coast. With a plethora of water activities, including snorkelling and diving to be done, a day trip to the reef is not to be missed. Visitors can spot turtles, dolphins, a multitude of tropical fish and even the occassional whale.

DAINTREE RAINFOREST

Consisting of the world's oldest evolving rainforest, the Daintree is where the Rainforest meets The Reef. Enjoy one of the many free walks in the area or take the oppurtunity to head along on a guided tour. During the summer months a quick dip in Mason's waterhole is a welcome relief from the heat of the day.

CAPE TRIBULATION BEACH

This is a magical stretch of white sand and rainforest located just to the North of Cape Tribulation headland.  You can park in the National Park car park, walk up to the lookout and then head north along the beach for a few kilometres of peace and quiet.

MYALL BEACH

Located South of Cape Tribulation headland.  You can access the beach from a small track next to PK’s Jungle Village or by parking in the Dubiji Boardwalk car park and following the signs through to the beach.  If you head to the northern end of Myall Beach there is a small path that leads you over the headland and onto Cape Tribulation Beach.  If you head south along Myall Beach there is a small track that will take you along Masons Creek and to Masons General Store and Myall Creek Takeaway.  The takeaway is home of the best burgers north of the Daintree River and also the Myall Creek Hotdog which it is rumoured that people have travelled from as far as Greenland to taste!

SOUTH NOAH BEACH

Located just south of Cape Tribulation. If you are heading north, just before Cape Tribulation there is a sign on the right hand side of the road saying Noah’s Campground.  This is a National Park Camping reserve, which you can park at and walk through to Noahs beach.  Once on the beach you can head south and walk along the beach to Noahs Creek, which is a great spot for fishing or even Crocodile spotting.
